| Our Mission |
| The goal of Multicultural Education Programs is to increase the number of qualified school personnel serving culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students in Maine schools. Participants in this program include immigrants and refugees who have settled in Maine. Administered through USM's College of Education & Human Development, our team is partnered with school districts to provide training and outreach to educators who work with Limited English Proficient (LEP) students. This program also helps to ensure that preservice and inservice teachers are able to fulfill the requirements necessary to for the Maine State ESL Endorsement. |
