There are many ways to write an essay, but for the
purposes of PRAXIS I, the five-paragraph essay is best.
First, because you will be working with a time-limit, it
will be helpful to have a set framework upon which to
construct your essay. Once you have learned this format,
writing your essay will be a matter of simply filling-in the
blanks. Second, using this format well assures a test-taker
of fulfilling three important objectives tested by this
essay: answering the question, organizing the essay, and
including details and/or examples.
