Answer all questions following a statement or passage on the basis of what is stated or implied; you are not expected to have any previous knowledge of the topics treated in the statements and passages. At first glance, this statement seems to be simply a repetition of the first sentence. But what about that first part: answer all questions? Why do the test-makers tell you that? Should you guess if you don't know the answer? ABSOLUTELY. This part of the directions is very important because there is no penalty for wrong answers on the PRAXIS exam. No points are subtracted for an incorrect answer. Only correct answers are counted. Remember:answer all the questions, even if you have to guess.
Briefly: All of the answers can be found in the passage or statement. Try not to let previous knowledge of a subject lead you to an incorrect answer choice! There may be more than one correct answer choice; choose the clearest, most complete one. Answer all of the questions, even if you have to guess.
Sometimes guessing causes problems, but on PRAXIS tests, guessing is a good thing.
